When you live in or move into a neighbourhood, yes it is great to have your own space and yard that belong to you as per your title deed, but that doesn’t mean your domestic domain and freedom negates the rights of your neighbours to enjoy theirs.

Here are some behaviours that you may want to reconsider unless you enjoy being labelled an A**hole by your neighbours.

Idling Your Vehicle for excessive periods of time. Most cities and municipalities have idling bylaws that limit idling to less than three minutes. Your neighbours do not want to be subjected to listening to your vehicle run or breathing in your vehicle’s exhaust. It’s totally unnecessary and extended idling is not good for your vehicle’s engine either, as per your vehicle’s manufacturer. Just turn it off or get in your damn vehicle and leave already.

Extended high pitched Noisemaking. Leaf blowers, industrial-sounding vacuums, droning pool & hot tub motors all are excruciatingly irritating. Yes, you live in a nice neighbourhood with well-kept yards. Stop destroying the peace of it with your ear-splitting noise.
